THE BUDDY PROGRAM
What is the Buddy Program?
The 8th graders have very special friends at St. Colette School. Through a unique mentoring program, 8th graders are paired with Kindergartners. Middle school students and their buddies get together for special projects; they act as mass partners and role models in church to teach them more about their Catholic faith. It is wonderful to see a middle school student helping a young student find a song in their missalette, showing them how to genuflect before entering their pew and teaching them the proper way to behave in church.

What do the 8th grade students get from this?
They have an opportunity to become role models, to be a teacher to a younger student while still allowing them to be kids themselves. The St. Colette School Buddy Program is a Winner!
