Fine Arts
Our Fine Arts program highlights and encourages creativity and appreciation for the fine arts. All students explore different forms of art from painting and drawings to sculpture and tapestry. The history of the Catholic Church is rich in arts and music. During their studies, students explore the history and culture of art throughout the world and learn to appreciate the importance or artist and the beauty of artistry in our world.
Music Programs
Vocal Music -All students in grades Kindergarten thru 8 participate in vocal music instruction. A critical element of the fine arts program, students learn the basics of music and musical performance. Students showcase their musical skills each year at the annual Christmas and Spring concerts. Through regular school masses and prayer services, students learn to integrate their musical skills with their faith and worship. Students are also encouraged to participate in the St. Colette Children's Choir which performs once each month at regular Sunday masses.
Instrumental Music is an optional program available to students in grades 4 thru 8. Individual instructions are provided weekly to interested students by contacting the Music Education Services
Also, the students meet a second time each week to learn to play as a band. Concerts are scheduled throughout the school year to showcase each band's progress.
